About the Role
- You'll work on 5C's AI software factory — the systems that power our agentic engineering workflows, code generation pipelines, and development infrastructure. This is for engineers who are fascinated by how AI can make engineering itself faster and more reliable.
- Think of this as building the tools that build the tools. You'll work on harness engineering, agentic automation, and internal developer productivity systems.
What You'll Work On
- Build and improve agentic engineering workflows — systems that use AI to automate development tasks
- Work on code generation and validation pipelines that help the team ship faster
- Develop internal developer tools: CLI utilities, automation scripts, testing harnesses
- Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring systems
- Experiment with new approaches to AI-assisted development — prompt engineering, tool-use chains, automated code review
- Contribute to infrastructure: Docker, AWS, serverless functions, database optimization
What We Expect from You
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python or TypeScript
- Interest in developer tools, infrastructure, and automation
- Comfort with the command line, Git, and basic DevOps concepts
- AI-tool fluency — you should already be using AI tools to accelerate your development workflow
- Curiosity about how software engineering itself can be automated and improved
- A GitHub profile or portfolio that shows what you've built
