Subspecialty Teleradiology at 5C Network

Seven dedicated reporting panels. Domain-specific AI. Premium subspecialty compensation. Your expertise, amplified.

TL;DR

5C Network operates subspecialty-specific reporting panels for neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, cardiothoracic, pediatric, breast imaging, abdominal/body, and emergency radiology. Subspecialists receive premium per-study compensation, priority access to complex cases, and AI pre-reads tuned to their domain. Generalists can also join multiple panels based on their experience and comfort level.

Subspecialty Reporting Panels

Neuroradiology

Dedicated neuroradiology panel covering the full spectrum of CNS imaging. From acute stroke protocols requiring rapid triage to longitudinal tumour surveillance, our neuroradiology radiologists handle complex neurological cases with domain-specific AI support.

Study Types

  • CT Brain (plain & contrast)
  • MRI Brain & Spine
  • Stroke protocol (CT angiography + perfusion)
  • Tumour surveillance MRI

AI Capabilities

Automated midline shift measurement, intracranial hemorrhage detection, ischemic change scoring (ASPECTS), and lesion volumetry.

Musculoskeletal (MSK)

Musculoskeletal imaging panel for joint, spine, and extremity studies. Covers sports injuries, degenerative disease, and post-operative assessments. High-volume panel with consistent demand from orthopaedic referrals across India.

Study Types

  • MRI Knee, Shoulder, Spine
  • X-ray joints & extremities
  • Sports injury imaging
  • Degenerative disease assessment

AI Capabilities

Meniscal tear detection on MRI, fracture detection on X-ray, ligament integrity scoring, and cartilage thickness measurement.

Cardiothoracic

Chest and cardiac imaging panel covering HRCT, contrast-enhanced CT, cardiac CT, and chest radiographs. Growing demand from post-COVID follow-up imaging and lung screening programmes across Tier-II and Tier-III centres.

Study Types

  • CT Chest (HRCT / CECT)
  • Chest X-ray
  • Cardiac CT (calcium scoring, CTCA)
  • Pulmonary embolism protocol

AI Capabilities

Pulmonary nodule detection with volumetric tracking, cardiomegaly measurement, pulmonary embolism detection, and automated lung segmentation.

Pediatric Radiology

Paediatric-specific panel for age-appropriate interpretation of imaging in neonates, infants, and children. Studies require familiarity with age-specific normal variants, growth plate anatomy, and paediatric pathology that differs fundamentally from adult imaging.

Study Types

  • Paediatric X-ray (chest, abdomen, skeletal)
  • CT with age-specific dose protocols
  • MRI with paediatric sequences
  • Neonatal imaging

AI Capabilities

Growth plate assessment, bone age estimation (Greulich-Pyle method), automated paediatric anatomical landmark detection.

Breast Imaging

Breast imaging panel for mammography interpretation and breast MRI. Demand is growing as screening mammography programmes expand across India, particularly in Tier-II cities. BI-RADS classification expertise is essential for this panel.

Study Types

  • 2D and 3D (tomosynthesis) mammography
  • Breast MRI
  • BI-RADS classification
  • Screening and diagnostic mammography

AI Capabilities

Calcification detection, mass characterisation, breast density assessment (ACR categories), and automated BI-RADS suggestion.

Abdominal / Body

Abdominal and body imaging panel covering the full range of cross-sectional abdominopelvic studies. One of the highest-volume panels, with consistent daily throughput from hospitals and diagnostic centres across India.

Study Types

  • CT Abdomen (plain & contrast)
  • MRI Abdomen & Pelvis
  • KUB (Kidney-Ureter-Bladder) X-ray
  • CT urogram, MRCP

AI Capabilities

Liver lesion detection and characterisation, renal stone measurement, lymph node measurement, and automated organ volumetry.

Highest Demand

Emergency Radiology

After-hours and stat reporting across all modalities. This is our highest-demand panel, covering nights, weekends, and holidays when on-site radiologist coverage is sparse. Emergency radiologists are the backbone of 5C's round-the-clock service commitment.

Study Types

  • Stat CT (head, chest, abdomen)
  • Emergency X-ray (trauma, acute abdomen)
  • MRI Brain (acute stroke)
  • Cross-modality trauma protocol

AI Capabilities

Critical finding prioritisation, automated triage scoring, pneumothorax detection, and real-time alert routing to referring clinicians.

How Subspecialty Panels Work

Subspecialty routing is built into Bionic Flow. Here is how a study moves from acquisition to your worklist.

1

Study Arrives

DICOM images are uploaded from the referring hospital or diagnostic centre. Metadata is parsed automatically.

2

AI Pre-Read

Bionic Vision runs domain-specific AI models. The system classifies the study by body region and routes it to the appropriate subspecialty panel.

3

Panel Routing

The study appears on your subspecialty worklist with AI annotations, measurements, and confidence scores already populated.

4

You Report

Review, validate, or modify the AI pre-read. Finalise your report using structured templates or free-text dictation. Sign and deliver.

Priority routing for subspecialists. When a complex neuroradiology case arrives and a credentialled neuroradiologist is available, the system routes directly to them rather than to a generalist. This means subspecialists see more of the cases they are best equipped to handle.

AI models are domain-specific. The neuroradiology AI is not the same model as the MSK AI. Each subspecialty panel benefits from AI models trained specifically on that domain, producing more relevant annotations and fewer false positives.

Structured templates per subspecialty. Report templates are tailored to each domain. A neuroradiology stroke report has a different structure than an MSK knee MRI report. This reduces reporting time and improves consistency across the network.

Where We Need You Most

Transparent demand signals. These are the panels with the most acute need right now.

Emergency Radiology

Critical Need

Nights, weekends, and holiday coverage. Highest demand panel with premium rates. Stat reads across CT, MRI, and X-ray for hospitals without after-hours radiology coverage.

Neuroradiology

Growing

Growing stroke protocol volume from Tier-II hospitals that lack on-site neuroradiology expertise. Acute stroke triage and tumour surveillance are the primary drivers.

Breast Imaging

Expanding

Mammography screening programmes are expanding across India, driven by government health initiatives and increasing awareness. Qualified mammography readers with BI-RADS experience are in high demand.
