PACS by 5C Network

5C SuperPACS

SuperPACS by 5C Network is a PACS — a picture archiving and communication system — built on the production AI infrastructure of a radiology network that reads 15,000+ studies a day for 2,000+ facilities, in which the image archive, the Bionic AI engine, the Prodigi RIS and a 400+ radiologist reporting network operate as one system.

By 5C Network

TL;DR

5C SuperPACS is the PACS in which the archive, the AI and the reporting are one system. Most hospitals buy a PACS from one vendor, AI from a second and reporting capacity from a third, then own the seams between them. SuperPACS by 5C Network is built on the production infrastructure that already reads 15,000+ studies a day for 2,000+ facilities, so the image archive, the Bionic AI engine, the Prodigi RIS and a 400+ radiologist reporting network arrive together. Public specifications are not yet published; hospitals and diagnostic centres can register interest, and any facility on an existing DICOM PACS can connect to 5C's reporting in about 72 hours today.

What SuperPACS is

A PACS stores, retrieves, distributes and displays medical images. In most of the market that is where its job ends: the archive is one purchase, the AI that reads the images is a second, and the radiologists who sign the reports are a third — and the hospital operates the seams between them. A hospital can have a flawless PACS and still wait a day for reads.

SuperPACS starts from the opposite premise. 5C Network already runs the archive, the AI and the reporting at scale in production, and the PACS a hospital actually needs is the one wired into that system from the start. Studies land in the archive, Bionic AI pre-reads them, an NMC-registered radiologist from 5C's network reviews and signs, automated quality control validates every report, and Prodigi runs the departmental workflow around it — one system, not an integration project.

Honest status: SuperPACS is built on infrastructure that is live today, but its public feature specifications and commercial terms are not yet published. This page states only what 5C already publishes, and marks everything else as a question for us.

What is inside 5C SuperPACS

Four things that are normally three procurements and an integration project

The archive

PACS

Image archiving and routing over standard DICOM for every modality 5C reports — X-ray, CT, MRI and mammography. This is the picture archiving and communication system itself: the layer that stores studies, moves them between scanners, reading stations and sites, and displays them.

Bionic AI

AI engine

5C's clinical AI engine, licensed as a Class B medical device. Bionic Vision detects hundreds of pathologies (0.93 F1 in peer-reviewed research); Bionic Voice turns dictation into structured reports; Bionic LM runs 8 specialised quality-control agents on every report before sign-off.

Prodigi RIS

Workflow

5C Network's AI-native radiology information system runs the departmental workflow — the RIS layer that a conventional PACS purchase leaves as a separate line item. Licensed alongside the Bionic Suite under India's Medical Devices Rules, 2017.

The reporting network

Radiologists

400+ radiologists who review and sign every AI pre-read. On 5C's platform today this pipeline runs a ~30-minute average reporting loop across X-ray, CT, MRI and mammography, with NMC-registered sign-off and automated QC on every report.

Bionic AI and Prodigi hold a CDSCO manufacturing licence as Class B medical devices (Form MD-5, Licence No. MFG/MD/2025/000449). AI accuracy validated in peer-reviewed research (arXiv:2504.00022). Read more on Bionic and compliance.

How it connects

Two routes in. Neither requires ripping anything out on day one.

1

Keep your PACS, connect to 5C

5C connects to any existing DICOM-compliant PACS — from any vendor — over standard DICOM protocols. No additional hardware, cloud-based integration, and most facilities go live within about 72 hours. HL7 v2.x and FHIR are supported for the RIS and HIS side.

Studies forward from your archive; AI-assisted, radiologist-signed reports come back. Your PACS keeps doing archiving and clinical review.

2

Adopt SuperPACS as the archive

When the archive decision itself comes up — a new facility, a PACS replacement, a scanner-bundled PACS you would rather not be locked into — SuperPACS makes the PACS decision and the reporting decision the same decision. Modalities send to the archive over DICOM as they would to any PACS; the AI, RIS and reporting network are already attached.

Migration scope, hosting model and go-live timelines for SuperPACS are quoted per site — ask us with your modality mix and volumes.

Who 5C SuperPACS is for

And, just as usefully, who it is not for

Hospitals buying or replacing a PACS

If a PACS decision is in your next planning cycle, SuperPACS is the option where the archive, the AI and the reporting stop being three separate problems.

Diagnostic centres without in-house radiologists

The archive is usually the easy half; the binding constraint is who reads the studies. SuperPACS arrives with the reporting network attached.

Groups standardising across sites

One system for archive, workflow, AI and reporting is easier to run across a chain than three vendors per site — and the reporting loop is the same everywhere.

Facilities refusing scanner-bundled lock-in

A PACS bundled with a new CT or MRI can lock the archive to the scanner vendor and break open DICOM routing. SuperPACS is a PACS negotiated on its own merits.

Not for: your archive is fine, your reports are slow

That is not a PACS problem. Route studies to 5C's platform over DICOM in about 72 hours and keep everything else.

Not for: you need published specs today

SuperPACS specifications are not yet public. If your tender needs a spec sheet this quarter, register interest and tell us the deadline; we will not invent numbers to meet it.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about SuperPACS by 5C Network

What is 5C SuperPACS?
5C SuperPACS is 5C Network's PACS — a picture archiving and communication system built on the production AI infrastructure of a radiology network that reads 15,000+ studies a day for 2,000+ facilities. What distinguishes it from a conventional PACS is integration: the image archive, the Bionic AI engine (pathology detection, structured reporting, automated quality control), the Prodigi radiology information system and 5C's 400+ radiologist reporting network operate as one system rather than three separate procurements.
Is SuperPACS a cloud PACS or an on-premise PACS?
5C Network has not yet published the deployment specifications for SuperPACS, so this page will not guess. What is published: 5C's existing platform integration is cloud-based, connects over standard DICOM and requires no additional hardware at the facility. If your hospital has a data-residency, bandwidth or local-cache requirement, tell us what it is when you register interest and we will answer for your configuration rather than in the abstract.
Does 5C SuperPACS include a RIS?
Yes. Prodigi, 5C Network's AI-native radiology information system, runs the departmental workflow inside SuperPACS — it is part of the same system rather than a separate purchase. Prodigi is licensed alongside the Bionic Suite as a Class B medical device under India's Medical Devices Rules, 2017 (CDSCO Form MD-5, Licence No. MFG/MD/2025/000449).
Can we use 5C Network without replacing our current PACS?
Yes. SuperPACS is not a prerequisite for working with 5C. 5C connects to any existing DICOM-compliant PACS — from any vendor — in about 72 hours, with no additional hardware, and starts delivering AI-assisted, radiologist-signed reports into your existing workflow. Facilities can begin on the PACS they already own and consider SuperPACS when the archive decision comes up.
Does SuperPACS come with radiologists, or only software?
Both. Unlike a conventional PACS, which stores images and leaves reporting capacity as a separate problem, SuperPACS is wired into 5C's reporting network of 400+ radiologists. Bionic AI pre-reads each study, an NMC-registered radiologist reviews and signs the report, and automated quality control validates it before delivery — the same pipeline that runs a ~30-minute average reporting loop across X-ray, CT, MRI and mammography on 5C's platform today.
What does 5C SuperPACS cost?
5C SuperPACS pricing is not published; it is quoted per facility after a short conversation about study volume, modalities, sites and whether reporting is included, because the cost base differs from a stand-alone PACS: the archive, the Bionic AI engine, the Prodigi RIS and the radiologist reporting network are one system rather than three vendor contracts. For how PACS is priced in India generally, including the per-study, subscription and licence-plus-AMC models and the prices vendors publish, see the PACS software pricing in India guide, then ask us for a quote on the same configuration.
Is SuperPACS related to a US 'super PAC'?
No. SuperPACS is a medical imaging product — a PACS (picture archiving and communication system) made by 5C Network, an AI-native radiology company headquartered in Bengaluru, India. It has nothing to do with political action committees. Search for '5C SuperPACS' or 'SuperPACS by 5C Network' to reach this page directly.
