The Role
- You'll build the platform that connects AI models to clinical workflows — the APIs, dashboards, integrations, and infrastructure that make 5C Network run. Every scan that flows through our system, every report that reaches a radiologist, every alert that fires — your code is in the critical path.
- We're looking for engineers who treat AI-assisted development as their default mode, not an experiment. If you're not already using Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex to ship faster, this role will feel like a stretch.
What You'll Build
- APIs and services that handle millions of medical imaging workflows per year — reliability and latency matter
- Clinical dashboards and tools that radiologists and hospital admins use daily
- Integration layers connecting AI models, PACS systems, hospital RIS, and notification pipelines
- Internal tools and automations that make the entire team more productive
- Infrastructure for model deployment, monitoring, and feedback collection
How We Work
- AI-assisted development is the baseline. We use Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to ship in hours what used to take days. You're expected to do the same
- We build with TypeScript (React, Node.js), Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and deploy on AWS. You don't need to know all of these — you need to learn fast
- Small team, high ownership. You'll own features end-to-end: from database schema to API to UI to deployment

You Should Have
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent open-source / side-project depth)
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, API design, database modeling, system design basics
- Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript or Python — and willingness to work across both
- Experience building and deploying web applications (React, Node.js, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated AI-tool fluency: you should be able to show how you use AI tools to accelerate your development workflow
- A public GitHub profile with code you're proud of
Even Better If You Have
- Experience with healthcare systems (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) or regulated industries
- Infrastructure experience: Docker, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience building internal tools or developer productivity systems
