The Role
- This is the forward-deployed seat in the Provider Solutions Group — a Member of Technical Staff who makes 5C products work in real provider environments. You will work close to customers, close to the product, and close to the code.
- The job is to build the customization loop that lets 5C deploy faster without becoming a services company: understand the customer workflow, implement the right technical path, and turn repeated patterns into reusable infrastructure.
- We are strongly biased toward candidates who can join quickly. If your notice period is short, your application will move faster because these teams are being built now.
What You'll Build
- Customer-specific implementation paths for radiology workflows across hospitals, diagnostic networks, PACS/RIS environments, reporting operations, and enterprise providers
- Configuration systems, connectors, deployment checks, diagnostics, runbooks, and dashboards that make implementation repeatable and auditable
- High-quality integration work across DICOM, HL7, APIs, report delivery, identity, permissions, customer analytics, and operational handoffs
- Reusable product primitives from field work, so the next customer benefits from what was learned in the previous deployment
- Open-source connectors, reference implementations, or libraries where openness improves interoperability, trust, or implementation speed
- Tight feedback loops with PSG MTS, Core Product, sales, operations, and customer teams to convert deployment reality into product roadmap
You Should Have
- 1-10 years of engineering experience, or equivalent proof through shipped systems, customer-facing technical work, serious projects, or open-source contributions
- Strong technical range across code, APIs, scripts, data, configuration, deployment automation, debugging, and written documentation
- The ability to enter an ambiguous customer environment, isolate the actual problem, and design a clean technical path through it
- Enough product judgment to know when to customize, when to push back, and when to turn a customer request into a platform capability
- Comfort working with customers directly while still writing production-quality code
Even Better If You Have
- Healthcare IT exposure: DICOM, HL7, FHIR, PACS/RIS, hospital networks, or medical imaging workflows
- Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, developer tools, or infrastructure
- Open-source maintenance or connector development experience
- Experience building deployment systems, integration tooling, observability, or customer health dashboards
Why 5C
- 5C is one of the best places to work for serious, engaged builders. We are a leading company in agent-driven software development and a leading business in AI for medical imaging at the same time
- You will work on systems that move from code to clinical impact unusually quickly: reports delivered faster, radiologists made more effective, hospitals able to serve more patients
- Resumes are not important. Proof of work and proof of a high learning rate matter more. Show us systems you built, products you shipped, open-source work, customer outcomes, or unusually strong side projects
- We are strongly biased toward candidates who can join quickly. If your notice period is short, your application will move faster because these teams are being built now.
