The Role

  • The Provider Solutions Group builds high-quality radiology infrastructure that makes 5C products deployable in the real world. Some of this infrastructure is proprietary, some should become open source, and all of it should make implementation faster, safer, and more repeatable.
  • We are hiring one Member of Technical Staff for PSG, across 1-10 years of experience. You will build the engineering layer that turns 5C's core products into working customer systems across hospitals, diagnostic networks, and enterprise providers.
  • A central part of this role is building the infrastructure behind the forward-deployed customization loop: the tooling, abstractions, and deployment machinery that let field learnings become reusable product infrastructure instead of one-off services work.

What You'll Build

  • Radiology infrastructure primitives for PACS/RIS integration, DICOM and HL7 routing, report delivery, identity, permissions, audit trails, notifications, and customer analytics
  • Reusable deployment and customization frameworks that let Provider Solutions engineers configure customer-specific workflows without forking the product
  • Open-source libraries, connectors, or reference implementations where openness improves trust, adoption, interoperability, or implementation speed
  • Internal systems for forward-deployed engineering: diagnostics, config tooling, deployment checks, customer health dashboards, playbooks, and reproducible escalation bundles
  • Productized versions of repeated customer-specific work, so the third deployment becomes infrastructure instead of another bespoke project
  • Feedback loops that convert field learnings into roadmap-quality product signals, validated fixes, and reusable platform capabilities

You Should Have

  • 1-10 years of strong engineering experience, or equivalent proof through shipped systems, open-source work, or serious customer-facing projects
  • Comfort across backend, frontend, scripts, APIs, data, integration work, and deployment automation
  • Strong debugging instincts. You can isolate whether a problem is product, configuration, network, data, infra, customer workflow, or clinical workflow
  • Good written communication. PSG creates reusable knowledge, runbooks, interfaces, and abstractions, not just code
  • A bias for turning repeated manual work into infrastructure

Even Better If You Have

  • Healthcare IT exposure: DICOM, HL7, FHIR, PACS/RIS, hospital networks, or medical device software
  • Open-source maintenance experience
  • Experience in solutions engineering, developer tools, infrastructure, or customer implementation engineering
  • Comfort visiting customer sites and learning directly from users

Why 5C

  • 5C is one of the best places to work for serious, engaged builders. We are a leading company in agent-driven software development and a leading business in AI for medical imaging at the same time
  • You will work on systems that move from code to clinical impact unusually quickly: reports delivered faster, radiologists made more effective, hospitals able to serve more patients
  • Resumes are not important. Proof of work and proof of a high learning rate matter more. Show us systems you built, products you shipped, open-source work, customer outcomes, or unusually strong side projects
  • We are strongly biased toward candidates who can join quickly. If your notice period is short, your application will move faster because these teams are being built now.
