The Role
- Forward Deployed Engineers in Core Product sit between the 5C platform and the customers using it at scale. You will turn high-stakes implementation problems into product-grade workflows, automation, and platform improvements.
- This role exists because Core Product is not a back-office system. It is the operating layer for millions of scans every year across multiple geographies, customer environments, radiology workflows, and operational edge cases.
- We are strongly biased toward candidates who can join quickly. If your notice period is short, your application will move faster because these teams are being built now.
What You'll Build
- Customer-facing product adaptations that make 5C's core reporting, routing, QA, delivery, analytics, and operational workflows fit real enterprise environments
- Implementation tooling, migration scripts, configuration systems, health checks, observability, and escalation workflows that make deployments repeatable
- Agentic loops that help product managers and operators convert workflow intent into reviewable product changes, automation, and safe production interventions
- Self-healing operational systems: failure detection, diagnosis, repair suggestions, rollback paths, and runbooks for scale
- Field-to-product feedback loops that turn repeated customer requirements into durable platform capabilities instead of one-off fixes
- Interfaces and internal tools that help operations, radiologists, sales, and customer teams understand what is happening inside complex deployments
You Should Have
- 1-10 years of engineering experience, or equivalent proof through shipped software, serious projects, open-source work, or customer-facing technical work
- Strong debugging range across product, APIs, data, configuration, infrastructure, integrations, and user workflow
- Comfort writing production code in TypeScript or Python, plus enough frontend/backend range to own the fix instead of handing it off
- Clear communication with customers and internal teams. You should be able to explain a technical issue, propose a path, and close the loop
- A bias for converting manual escalations into product, automation, documentation, or infrastructure
Even Better If You Have
- Experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, infrastructure, developer tools, or technical customer implementation
- Healthcare IT exposure: DICOM, HL7, FHIR, PACS/RIS, hospital networks, or regulated clinical workflows
- Experience building internal tools, workflow engines, agentic systems, or operational automation
- Comfort spending time with users and customer teams to understand what the system needs to become
Why 5C
- 5C is one of the best places to work for serious, engaged builders. We are a leading company in agent-driven software development and a leading business in AI for medical imaging at the same time
- You will work on systems that move from code to clinical impact unusually quickly: reports delivered faster, radiologists made more effective, hospitals able to serve more patients
- Resumes are not important. Proof of work and proof of a high learning rate matter more. Show us systems you built, products you shipped, open-source work, customer outcomes, or unusually strong side projects
- We are strongly biased toward candidates who can join quickly. If your notice period is short, your application will move faster because these teams are being built now.
